New King Ranch 350 SRW 2-1/2" receiver??

Just got my new 350 CC, SRW king ranch and it has a 2-1/2" receiver with the 2" insert, I was under the impression it was a 3" opening with two inserts.

The truck was delivered to Canada, am I missing something or did Ford screw up? Thanks for any insight, I am getting ready to order a WS hitch and want to get the correct one.

You must have a short bed 6.7 SRW 350. The 3" receiver was eliminated for the SB trucks from Job 2 forward. On the Weigh Safe hitch, we FTE members get a 10% off discount on them and free shipping from a vendor called Trunk Monkey. See this thread:

Thanks for that, kind of a bummer I guess that reduces my towing capacity unless I can find a higher rated hitch.
I wonder the reasoning behind going back to the 2-1/2 ? must be something to it...

No, you haven't lost capacity. The 3" was overrated in relation to the trucks tow rating. So, they downsized it to better match the truck.

There is an upside! There are many more 2-1/2" WDH options than there are 3".

Good point, thanks for that!
I think I will place an order for the WS 8" drop combo today.

I got the 8" as well. Don't forget to use our coupon code. It is only good on the hitch and not any Weigh Safe accessories but sure helps...
