1966 2WD F100 front hubs

Anyone have a source on some clean front hubs for a 1966 2WD F100?

Purchased a set thru local Napa auto parts. Later decided to install front disc. fortunately I had not installed the manual drums and found a buyer. If one goes the local auto parts route suggest take original for comparison, drums vary in size.

Hubs can be rebuilt with new races and bearings. They would have to be really screwed up/warped to need replacement.
Best bet is another 66 though I do believe 61-66 will swap. Other years may swap as well.

They're pretty messed up. Having a machine shop clean them up with inserts before putting new races and bearings in.

1964/67 F100: Ford did not sell the hubs by themselves, were only supplied with the drums as a hub/drum assembly.

1964/67 F100 2WD's use the same drum/hub. 1963 and earlier are different.

New hubs are practically unobtanium in those years, I looked for a while. Maybe they pop up on that auction site once in a while. Should be able to find good used examples though, as quite a few folks convert to discs, but save the old parts. Use new (motorcraft) studs and have the hubs pressed in by a machine shop that knows what they are doing. It's not rocket science but. New drums should probably have a light face cut to ensure they are true. Since probably 70% or better of stopping power is handled by the front axle it's important they are done right. Drums are easy to find from the usual suspects.

Sending a DM about those hub. Mine blew up. Seriously... the lug studs pulled right through them and the wheel came off with the brake drum. Luckily I was in my driveway.

I e-mailed Boss to let him know. He doesn't log on here super frequently and looks like 8/23 was his last visit as of right now. Hopefully he sees the e-mail and can chime in here.

Incidentally, it is a Private Message or "PM". I hadn't heard of a "DM" before but maybe you are on to something new....

1964/67 F100 2WD is the same, 1961/63 F100 2WD is different.

Ford did not sell the hubs by themselves, were only sold with the brakes drum.
