I have a couple ideas.

1. Replace the factory lariat models and higher's b pillars with xlt pillars. Their pillars are not shiny, thus should not scratch/swirl as easy.

2. Have someone wrap them.

I haven't found a good way to fix mine yet. And yes, they swirl WAY to easy. They make a great looking truck look cheap because of this.

Does it? Maybe the XL's have them.

I haven't seen them from the factory, but I am going to go look this weekend. I saw a pic on another thread that made me think the XL or XLT's were flat black from the factory.

If that is not the case, throw option one out the window

Edit
Here is the thread. It is an XL model.

Check out the grey truck in this thread.

Meguiar's makes a plastic polishing compound. It's around 6 dollars a bottle. I've used it to restore my headlights on another car to brand new condition. It's called Meguiar's Plastic Cleaner/Polish, might be worth a shot.

The pillars on my truck still look mint, so I haven't had the need / desire to mess with them yet, but that's probably the approach I'll take when that changes.

Just like you'd get swirls out of paint, these will be softer than paint, however. The plastic polish is fine, as is any mild abrasive suitable for paint polishing. I agree the swirls really stand out. Especially on my white truck, which I chose specifically because it hides these types of blemishes.

I have that stuff for my various bikes, I'll give it a shot this weekend and let you know how it works. Anything to fix this crap.

I currently own a 2015 F150 and 2017 superduty. Both are xlt and have the gloss black pillars. I found that Meguiars ScratchX 2.0 works really well. It is a fine scratch and blemish remover for paint. It really works great on bug shields to.

I had my 2016 F150 polished and it only marginally helped... Not sure I am even going to worry about the 250.

When I had Xpel clear bra (guaranteed for 10 years not to yellow) applied to the front of my truck I also had them put clear bra on the B pillars. Really works well.

Deleted... didn't know that the pillar is plastic... I don't want you to ruin that piece.

I used Meguiars PlastX last night and it worked pretty dang good. I have another one by Mother's I'm going to use on the other side and see how they compare.

That actually came out really good.

That piece is plastic??? I wouldn't use the G10 on it then!

Some of those products contain fillers instead of polishing agents (fine abrasives). Nothing wrong with either approach, but the fillers often don't last long. Make your initial comparison then check again in a month and see which is better.
