Suggestion for Camshaft Upgrade

Suggestion for Camshaft Upgrade
Hello Everyone,
I'm new to this site so please excuse my questions if they have already been answered for someone previously.
I have a 1997 F-250 HD with 7.5 liter 460. The truck originated in Oregon and I picked it up from an ebay add. It has just over 200k miles and I've had it for about 3 years now.
I've decided to overhaul the engine this year because of the high mileage and several oil leaks and exhaust flange leaks. Currently, the block and crank are at the machine shop. It will be bored 0.020" over, crank polished and rotating assembly balanced. The heads will go to the machine shop after I get the other parts back.
My plan is to put everything back together stock with exception of the 0.020" over pistons. The other upgrade I would like to add is a new cam and lifters. I would like to upgrade the cam & lifters to gain a litter more HP but don't want any conflicts with the computer system. I also plan to use the original pedistal mount rocker arms and push rods.
The machine shop is recommending that I put larger intake valves in the heads to "wake it up" a little bit. I'm concerned that the larger valves will cause an issue with the stock computer.
Does anyone have any experience lightly upgrading the late model EFI 460? I would be interested to know what cam will give me a bit more power but without computer issues.
I did search the forum but didn't see anything similar to my situation.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Tyler

I am going to find the cam that i used in a NA 460 again...it was off the shelf from Cranecams of Compcams..at almost .600 inch lift with roller rockers..i dont know how much it would play out with a Fuel Injected motor tho? also it had a split duration to keep the exhaust open little longer...460 intake ports flow well but the exhaust port is a bad design

When I rebuilt my 1989 efi 460 I used Crane 35901. Grind is h-260-2 it is efi computer compatible. I like the way mine runs. Pulls strong. I can run down the road with 4 tons on the truck at 70 mph no issues. I also put speed pro Hypereutectic pistons in that put the compression At a touch above 9.0-1. Your 97 should have f3te heads which have fast burn and larger valves. Theses heads aren't as prone to spark knock as earlier ones.
