My 1971 Ford F100 Project

I'm starting this thread to talk about my project truck and I'll post everything I do here as well as ask you for help. Mainly looking for performance mods and other things related to retrofitting things or putting back on factory items (I.e. saddle tanks). I'll post plenty of pictures too.

The truck has: 78,899 original miles, 360 FE V8 with a c6 and Ford 9" with a 3.00 highway gear. So far it's pretty stock other than an ubnoxiously loud dual exhaust and glass packs bolted up to a pair of Hedman Long tube headers. Sounds good tho looking to upgrade the top end of the motor and swap out the rear gear for a 3.70 or something and maybe a TTB swap (it's 2WD) I'll post pictures in my second post. Please ask questions and give me any info or tips or anything you got, this is my first car and I've had it for about 5 months

Yeah I thought about getting a Mustang, but all my friends thought I should get a truck, and this one was offered to me from my family.

And just btw, I did say I wanna rebuild the top end, but I'm not exactly looking for a speedy, or hot rod kinda thing, just looking to get more power but still be able to daily, and if i do a TTB swap, be good at off-roading somewhat.

I live in Joshua Texas but the truck is currently at my grandmothers house in Burleson. And yeah the Twin traction beam is what I'm wanting to do since it's cheaper and more of a bolt up option than a solid axle..

Also, do 4WD parts exist for C6's? I've noticed that the Edelbrock Perfomrer cylinder head only shows up for 390's but not 360's?

I'm about an hour + north of you.
The eddy heads fit all FE engines, 360,390,428....

What are you going to get a TTB out of? I don't think they were used until after 1980 and I'm not sure it is a "direct bolt on".

Ahh yes I see you're in Garland.

The TTB would probably be from that time period, I'm not sure if it's direct bolt up, but from what I had heard it's not much different if at all, much easier than making bolting points for different shocks, leaf springs, and stabilizer bars.
