460 swap pulleys for alternator only ?

Hi all !! Swapped a 1977 460 into my 1978 F-100. Question is about pulleys. The 77 460 had p/s, a/c and all I need is alt. So after removing the a/c and p/s the alt. pulley doesn't align with water pump ? do I Need to get a different pulley for alt. ? or should I just put spacers on alt. bracket to move out to align it with water pump pulley ? Thanks for help

The alternator runs off the pulley groove right next to harmonic balancer on the original set up. It doesn't go around the water pump pulley originally. On a truck that had ac/ps etc... The middle groove did the water pump and ps and the front groove(closes to fan) did the a/c and water pump). If your truck doesn't have power steering? Your going to have to either space/shim the alternator to line it up with another groove or make or find a new crank pulley to make it work.

I pulled a '77 460 out of a camper special and put it in my '77 Shortbox 4x4 but mine had power steering so I had no issues.

Not sure but you could check with CVF Racing for a pulley set up. I've used them in the past.
