I can change the esof switch to the pull electric lock type, but will the harness support it? Any other considerations with advsncertrac....or other??

I'm interested in this as well. There is a 3.73 E-locker 9.75 axle for sale that I may be interested in.

My 2013 FX2 does not have an e-locker. While truck hunting I thought that was standard on a FX model, didn't realize I was wrong until I drove nearly 4 hours to get the truck. To say I was pissed was an understatement! Anyway, I talked diligently with my 2 local Dealerships & they both advised me I could not throw another axle w/the e-locker up under it, due to wiring & programming issues

I did replace that stupid Coin-Holder (Ford puts that in place of an e-locker switch) with a Volt-Gauge

Looks like I may just be rebuilding my rear axle with a after market trac loc unit. Now I just need to decide on 3.73 or 4.10 gears.

If you go with an aftermarket posi, look seriously at the True-Trac. Its expensive, but works seamlessly and lasts basically forever. It has no clutches and requires no fluid additives.

I 2nd the Detroit Tru-Trac (by Eaton) I had one in my 2006 F250 Diesel & the thing was amazing! It was very smooth in operation & very quiet, I loved it!
In fact a Tru-Trac & a set of 3.73's would make me very happy too

What if you found a good deal on a 3.73 9.75 axle that had the E locker in it which i can't use and just swapped out the E locker for an after marker locker. Can this be done?

Making an e-locker work with the factory controls may be an issue because it is likely integrated with the powertrain control module and Ford probably won't tell you what needs to be done to activate it, but surely all it takes is switched power to make the diff work so if you're not adverse to installing another switch somewhere you can get the functionality and as an added bonus not be restricted to the silly speed limitations that come with the factory control system.

I'm all for adding a separate switch if that's all it takes. Would just like to know for sure that's all it takes and then add that axle to my searches.
