Bliss and towing question

So I use the display and set up my trailer(s) with owners manual in hand. It is within the size limitations for BLISS (26' long, 8' wide). I have no problem clicking the OK's. I am in tow/haul mode. Seems like all should work. When all said and done, no BLISS.
What am I missing?

Is your trailer wiring properly configured and connected to your truck? Then test the lights. The systems determine if a trailer is present based on the connection.

yes it knows the trailer is there, all lights work as to the trailer brakes. Also, two different trailers, same problem. Everything else is working. I have to be missing something in the set up

I'm running an 8.5' wide trailer, works fine with BLIS. In fact, I set it up for one trailer of a different length and it still works fine on this trailer. What makes you so sure you have no BLIS? Is the little disabled icon illuminated?

when you selected the type of trailer did you select gooseneck or 5th wheel? Bliss gets turned off for those "type" of trailers. I cannot advise something possible dangerous as there may be a reason Ford did this, but I just programed my 5th wheel a standard trailer. I haven't gotten over 100 miles to start towing it yet, but just testing it the disable icon didn't appear. Now, when I go to tow the 5er, I might find I get false readings due to the overhang of the trailer, but we'll see when that time comes...

I know this is an old thread but did you ever resolve the Bliss issue? Mine was working fine until this last trip. Left Austin Texas and drove to North Carolina, it was working fine. From North Carolina to Florida it stopped working. Keeps telling me I don't have a conventional trailer setup. Nothing has changed with my trailer setup. Tried deleting and re-adding, still, doesn't work.

I have the same issue. I've pulled my travel trailer a few times and it worked great. The last trip home I had a message " no conventinal trailer connected" The trailer set up had not changed. I changed the setting to fifth wheel and back to conventinal and it made no difference.

Also - my Travel Trailer is 36' 9"...is ford's limitation (is it 33') real, or is anyone getting it to work with longer trailers?

I experienced issue also. In the trailer menu all was set and selected correctly yet no bliss. In my case I found the menu to the full right, settings or some language like that, there was a check box selection for trailer blind spot. This arbitrarily unchecked itself and still does. Check that setting.

When in the trailer settings, blind spot is off and you can't turn it on because there are no conventional trailers attached. Was hoping someone had found an answer to the problem but I guess it needs to go to the dealer.

Make sure that the trailer bliss is checked off in the main truck setting section of the display.

Thanks, I just checked mine it is was unchecked. Drop my trailer off at the dealer for some warranty work so can't check if that will fix it but hopefully, that was the problem. Thanks for the help.
