Pro Comp 23411 on 79 F250 4wd

Bit the bullet and bought the Pro Comp 23411 kit. I'm not doing anything crazy with this truck, just want it taller. Ride and flex don't bother me.

I also bought 4" lift SD front springs I'm going to adapt to the truck.

My question, what degree shim should I buy for the rear springs considering this is a 6" lift? Someone said 8* but that seems a little steep. I'm looking for someone that has used these springs and curious as to what worked best.

By the way, Jet, for first time buyers, has two of these springs for $340 or so after tax and shipping.

Good read here. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...t-springs.html

The rear should come with shims...at least they do when you get them from Skyjacker.

Also do not be surprised that you have to reuse the rear OEM block, at least you do when you get a 6" from Skyjacker.

As far as * shims maybe a 1 or 2, see if you can get the leafs installed and set it back down and get some weight on it (still on jacks and jack stands) and ck pinion angle?

Thanks! Got the springs and they came with shims. Good call. I asked the manufacturer and they said I need to use the stock block.

Any info on front leaf spring rear hanger length bolt to bolt? I have read a few numbers and can't get a definitive answer.

Thanks!
