Need mirror caps

I have a 99 SD, with 1A tow mirror upgrades, power, heated, turn and marker, plus manual extend.
A garbage can at the curb stole my right side black mirror cap.
Does anyone have extras that they would part with.

I have the chrome caps but don't like them.

Have you thought about just painting them black or going to your local autobody supply shop and giving them your trucks paint code and get them to make you a spray can up and painting the chrome to match the color of your truck? Plenty of guys do it and it only costs you a bit of sand paper and the can of spray paint

Just a thought

Other thing you could do is scan craigslist in your area or with you local auto wrecker to see if they have any of an SD that they are parting out

Yes, I have been considering painting the chrome caps black.
And I will search Craigslist.

I never thought of this, but you could put an ad on CL saying you are looking for some different colored caps and would be willing to swap them with someone who is looking for chrome ones and has the ones you seek on their truck.

Don't know what a 1A mirror upgrade is. As someone else suggested, perhaps a photo might help us help you.

I do have a right hand mirror assy off of a 2002 F-250 SD. Do not know whether it has the cap you seek?

I couldn't find anything on CL.
I just scuffed the right side cap, so I can paint it.
What kind of paint should I use on plastic?
My pictures are of the drivers side mirror but I am missing the passenger side.

I would think that could indeed be sanded and painted. Assuming the part is plastic I would use Krylon plastic paint -

Well, I painted it and installed it.
I don't have a lot of faith in the way they lock onto the mirror.

I would still like to have a spare pair of black caps.
