Trailer Camera- Wire

Hi,

got the factory trailer backup camera and swapped out the connector in the truck, but how are you guys keeping the wire in place?

I have an aluminum horse trailer and would like to have the wire go up over the roof and will mount the camera on the rood rack.

Don't really want to drill into the roof , is there some adhesive that will work to keep the cable in place?

The trailer is outside all year long as i would want something that can hold-up: i don't mind replacing it every year or so if its easy enough and cheap.

I bought a few packs of these.

You can use 4" zip ties through them and they worked well. I'm still keeping an eye on them to make sure they don't fall off.

I haven't mounted mine yet, but I have plans, since it is a rubber roof 5th wheel, to just get a small roll of eternalbond tape or other rubber roof tape and seal it in corrugated channel that way if I need to pull it I can, but it would be sealed and better protected. There is just something about wires zip tied to the roof that make me feel it might get caught on a low branch.

I didn't mount mine on the roof. I mounted mine under my travel trailer on the side of the frame rails.

That stuff would work great! get the 6" wide roll and just run it on top of the wiring. It would sort of help 'hide' the wiring as well if you used the same colour as your trailer.
