The Tale of The Ghost Truck That Would Never Start.

I need someone who can trace down some wires for me on a 1976.
In the first image it's a wire on the block, black in color.

In the 2nd image is a yellow or brown wire coming out of the factory loom near the coil and I'm not sure where it goes either.

I need someone to pop their hood and trace these for me please.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Sure your motor ain't feeling Crappy? not even just a little bit?

seriously.. the wire in your first pic, appears to be for you water temp. sensor
could it possibly be that the two need to be reconnected?

here is a diagram for a 77 F100 - F350,
(even though you have a 76)
may this help
