OT-Gmail/Images gone!

Opened up the computer this morning and on the Google home page, Gmail and Images words that were in the upper right hand corner are gone. Did Google do an update and forget to tell us?

Thanks!

Unless I'm crazy, this is where it's always been?

Mine has always been up there next to the 9 dot square that you clicked on to get the window to drop down. Now I had to use that to get my mail but where is the images icon?

Thanks!

That comes up after you've done your search:

Morning Mr Ed - are you looking for your photos that are on-line, or for an image search using Google?

I used the images icon to look up on line photos. Both the Gmail and Images icons were next to the 9 square dots in the upper right hand icon. Now they're gone. They were very convenient.

Thanks!

I don't recall having it there, but you can move the icons around as I have on this example, and by clicking on the 9-dots you can have mail and whatever else you want right at the top. You can drag the icons you want to the top. It's one further click, unfortunately, but probably not the end-of-the-world kind of problem.

They're back! Don't know what happened but late yesterday they re-appeared. I gave up a long time ago trying to figure out what computers do.

Later!

They're back!

Google is constantly updating their software, and most of the time we probably don't realize it happened. It could be that, but I'm guessing it has to do with clearing out some cache on the browser, and suddenly that reset what you're seeing. Again, you might not even know that happened.

Of course, for those of us with old trucks, we know all about clearing out some cash...
