has anyone use a speedi-sleeve on a leaking dana 80 pinion seal?

 

I have used the product before but only on hard to find components. If you check around you will find a new yoke cheaper

 

the speedi-sleeve is about $40. the yokes i have found are about $150. i am not rich but i need to fix this correctly. would you take a chance on the speedi-sleeve for the price difference?

 

Of the times I have used them I had no issue and they do work. You have taken the time to check prices already and the cost makes sense. There are a many occasions the a new yoke is cheaper, not yous in this case. If you don't have any retaining compound, some red locktite will be fine for installation

 

As long as you follow the instructions for the speedi sleeve and use the correct tools, they should have the "driver" in the kit they work very well. I have used many over the course of my 45+ year career and never had a comeback.
