New 2017 King Ranch

I'm going to buy most likely factory order a 2017 king ranch 4x4 white f350. Is there any option that you did not get that you wish you did. And when do they usually roll out the next model year ?

2018 models should starting hitting dealerships early fall (maybe around September, my guess).

I wish they would have allowed single color paint with the white platinum on the KR

I'm usually anti-two-tone, but I gotta say the Platinum/Caribou combination is stellar. imho.

Agreed. This is my favorite color scheme. Have it on my F150. Unfortunately, since I got the 250 off the lot it is white only. Which is fine, it has plenty of other things I want.

Completely agree. That was the only reason I went with the Lariat Ultimate in White Platinum instead of a KR. I also don't care for the painted bumpers so a Platinum wasn't an option. I read on one thread that monochromatic White Platinum will be available on a KR for the 2018 model.

I had originally ordered an ultimate Lariat but changed to platinum for all the extras that come with it. I'm going to get the clear wrap on the front of the bumper and I can always swap the bumpers or get them painted later.

I went with a Lariat so I can seat six people. I'm not paying 70 grand for a huge console which is a big waste of space. The fold down console of the 40/20/40 is more than plenty and definitely more versatile with the extra floor space.

I have a Platinum and the only thing I wish I got, and I thought I ordered it, was lane departure. Otherwise its fairly loaded.

You want the LED's

I believe someone on this forum said this first model year will be a long one and the 2018's won't come out until around December. Not sure if that's correct; just reporting what I think I read here.

Bump that. If more than 5 need to ride with me, I'll get out the old WalMart summer yard chairs. Strap them to the bed and we ride. I can cram 7 more chairs back their easy. Especially if they are the sit up high kind!

I prefer the comfort and appearance of the console. They have different options for different reasons

Not meaning this to be offensive in any way, but the folding seat/console screams "work truck" and that is why this option ends at Lariat.

Yes, it offers a small amount of extra utility / people carrying. But that middle front seat is only going to seat a child or very small adult, and they will be considerably uncomfortable at that.

The trade-off is pretty high:
-Lose rear seat A/C vents
-Much less center console space
-Several fewer 12V outlets
-No rear 110V outlet
-No rear heated seats
-Poorer cup holder design
-Loss of covered media bin, open console tray around sliding cupholders
-No ambient lighting
-No LED headlights

We have the flip seat console in our 2016 F-150 and the full console in the 2017 F-350.

I was the one who posted that. It was info that Ford provided via the online chat when I inquired as to when the order banks would open for 2018s. So far, that seems to be holding true as the order acceptance and changeover dates for just about every other Ford model have already been announced. The Super Duty still is listed as TBD on most of the fleet websites.

We went from ordering a King Ranch to buying one off the lot at a much better price. The only thing I did not get which was on the ordered truck was the Oxford White and the 360 camera. I am crazy happy with the truck.
