Whatever Ford dealer (Galpin?) that gave you the part number, could have looked and given you the same sources that I did.
'Course, most dealers don't want to bother...

What they said about ND
I have a question of this fuel filter reservoir thing.
Any one have a picture of it and how it works?
With all the posts I have seen on this being needed and them not easy to get I wonder if something else can be made to work in it's place?
That is why I would like to see a picture and how it works.

Yes he did!!!
Can I get you guys to tell me what you think about an issue I'm having with my mechanic?
His guy pulled the quick release fuel hose of the fuel filter resorvoir and he broke the fitting on that part now he expects me to pay for that part becuase he said that part was so old it broke....
I think that if you brake it you pay for it!
I'm in the home improvement business if I broke something in a client house while doing a job than I have to pay for it no matter what! I have twice in the past.
What's your thought ?

btw: Of course the fittings could be brittle after 30 years have passed by. But anyone that works on similar systems should know this and so...be prepared.
Mechanic broke it, so mechanic should pay for it.
btw part II: The only mechanic I know in the Valley (a former Ford parts guy) works on old rolling piles of misery (owns Mustang Service Center in NoHo), so I doubt he'd work on a 1986 E150.

In my opinion it would take a good mechanic an hour to dianose my fuel cut off no start when the weather is hot!
All these mechanics are parts dumpers they don't really diagnose the problem in order to be a 100% sure!
I've been watching pro named scannerdanner on youtube this guy is great he will find the root of the problem and fix the issue!
I wish I could go to him for the problems I'm having but he is in penselvenya

If I break something, regardless of the part's age, I feel responsible. If the mechanic has ethics, they will feel the same way. They are charging more than enough as it is with 100% + on parts mark-up and labor on top of that. When You call a parts store for a price on a part, You get retail. When a Dealer or Jobber calls they get 25% over cost for customer retention reasons. It's no skin off their noses to make it right unless they are driven by pure greed. When I call for for parts, I still give Dealer Codes and request that it be put on "a cash ticket" and they oblige. 25 % over cost and no sales tax. ND knows this old trick. It's been used by many, for many years. It evens the score.

Lastly, if you really wanted this
"so-called Guru" to fix your problem, You would have commented on the video with a request instead of "singing his praises" here. Take the time to put your vehicle's specs in your signature and then describe your issue in as much detail as possible so we can try to sort out the issue....Rome was not built in a day, nor was punctuation or spell check according to your post.....obviously.
Given Your user name, it seems as though you do not have much respect for your truck Given the body of your text, IMO, your opinion doesn't carry much weight here (again, IMO). I'm thinking that maybe you would be better off in a DUB or DONK Forum. But, like You, I am entitled to an opinion.
