Spotted!!

So I saw this Excursion yesterday in my area and I wanted to see if it belonged to anyone on here but there didn't seem to be a "Spotted" thread in our sub-forum. We used to have one on a different forum I belonged to years ago to use when members spot others...figure it could suit us well.

I'll let the mods decide further.

Any-who...
Here's the beast:

It was sitting in the Walmart plaza parking lot in Chicopee, MA.
Looks like it possibly had some damage that prompted the facelift - there was also some touch-up being done to the driver's side door.
Also the painted late model 18s don't seem to have spacers given the hub to cap clearance on the front.

Pipe up if you want...I'd like to talk shop one day.

I love the idea of this thread. Here is one decked out rig on my street today in SoCal. Female driver.

I spotted this last night. Sorry for the blurry pic. Had only seconds to pull out my phone and capture. See them all the time on CL for sale but first one in person.

Funny you should mention that, Carl.

I've been seeing a stark increase in Excursion activity in my area in the past few months, but most notably was a week ago when I saw the mid-facelift mongoloid that made me start this thread...

...now complete (but still without spacers).

Not sure if I like how the barn doors were handled, but kudos for owning the full color change!

This time it was parked in what seemed to be employee parking at a medical office in Springfield, MA.

WOW, that sure shows the difference in wheel-offset between the Pre/Post '05 models - OR that is a former Railroad Owned vehicle.

I can't imagine doing all of the work needed to graft the SD tailgate lettering into the EX barn doors and not getting the lettering even.

It looks like they spaced the letters evenly to each side of the Ford emblem. Didn't notice until your post, about centering to each panel, probably no "right" way to get the uneven #of letters to make everything work.

Each word should be centered on it's panel, that would look the best for the uneven number of letters. IMHO

A body man that wasn't absent minded would have got it right... wait... don't think I've ever met a body man that wasn't absent minded. Must be all the Bondo dust and paint fumes.
