Hi i have full time lpg[propane] on my 89 f150 i did notice a difference between the lpg and petrol but it wasnt that big of an issue.
Out here in australia lpg stations are pretty well covered all around the country, but there is still a lot of remote areas,i always plan my trips around the available stations and i get fairly good mileage.
My system went on in 99 and i drove for a few year using dual fuel then finally ditched the petrol side, took out the tanks etc and been on lpg since and not looked back.
