Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 52 now under blue sky.

I imagine you have tons of stories being involved in weapons testing!
Not so much...although there was the time we "LOST" a Harpoon....then (right out of Star Trek) there were the 'Photon' shoots, TD's getting upset when we would actually hit one of their targets, and I became very adept at blackmailing the 'O's' into rides in the F-4's, A-6's and TA 4's.

Morning all. Looks like a nice day today. Maybe I can do some mowing after work.

Always wanted to be a pilot and operate off a carrier. When the recruiter saw I had glasses and said I needed 20/20 vision uncorrected to fly, I was done. Looking back maybe I should of done something to at least be part some military aviation arm but at the time if I couldn't fly, I wasn't interested.

Being a flight engineer wasn't all bad and you could wear glasses. I believe the standard was 20/100 correctable to 20/20. I sat "center seat", got to start the engines and play with them. Hundreds of gauges and over a thousand circuit breakers to play with. Got to go out and drop or shoot stuff that made really, really big bangs and big flashes of lights. We were way too big for a Carrier which meant land bases which in turn led to a lot of different countries and lots of sightseeing.
