Understood Warren---just checking! I'm eventually aiming to post something that'll be helpful related to the vacuum controls---showing it in action might be more helpful than written descriptions.

Good luck on your diagnosis and eventual fix!

A standard vacuum testing tool (e.g. MityVac, Craftsman, etc) would help isolate this problem ---locations:

Test Point #1 --- Before check valve, reservoir

Test Point #2 ---Directly after check valve, reservoir

Test Point#3 and beyond --- follow the yellow brick road (diagram above)..............

Check valve is a common failure point.............secondary common failure point is vacuum line manifold...........
