This is after i finished the installing the hei ignition module with with tfi coil, and new air cleaner.
I also put a 100 amp one wire alt on, along with a aftermarket headlight harness.
What a difference that makes.
Rebuilt the whole wire harness from the engine bay all the way back to the tail lights
The PO had bypassed the fuse box completely.
Had everything hot wired.
I also painted the engine compartment.
I love the way this exhaust sounds.
What do you think.
I also replaced the clutch.
It will roast the tires now!!!
straight through no cats or mufflers

I put a ipod ready pioneer radio in( love it) sounds great no more cd's, no more cassettes, or 8 tracks. Just plug and go.
I need to put the head liner back in.
I also need to repair the floor boards.

finally after 6 months i have some good sound clips. the first one is at idle, the chop u hear is not from the cam. im not sure what happened while it was sitting but it has a slight miss at idle now. the second one is of a rev sweep in 1000 rpm incriments.
truck has (see sig for engine mods) headers,y pipe running into a Moroso Spiral muffler, 45* bend and some kind of large tip (i forget the size, had it laying around). system is all 2 1/2" in size after the headers.
Here she is fella's. I don't think she sounds any better or worse than most 300's I hear. She doesn't sound anything like a V8 but that's okay, I think the sound matches the image I was going for with the truck (Ford Military truck Powerwagon).
The above is my truck with a flowmaster super 44. It sounds too zippy for my tastes, but should give you an idea.
You can find a short glass pack either at the local muffler shop or an online store like Jegs.com. You can buy a replacement tailpipe for $30 from your local Advanced Auto, or anywhere else. They all sell replacement tailpipes.
I recomend running either an open glass pack or JUST a tailpipe. I've tried both. They both sound good. With both cats and just a tailpipe my truck sounded like a loud V8 at idle, and a Cummins on acceleration.
Several users on this site that have the 300 I6 run glasspacks. They both say it sounds great, with or without catalytic converters. My own personal favorite setup included glass packs.
Make sure not to get a long glass pack or it will sound very quite. I stress to you to find a 12'' pack - or as short as you can.
