12,100 mi on '06 6.0l, Lariat 4wd, long bed CC with 18 in wheel option. No problems, 19 mpg highway if I stay at about 70 mph and don't use speed contoll. The ride is as quite as my wife's Buick LeSabre. I like my truck!
Nice to see so many people who are HAPPY with their 6.0's. I have had mine for 6 months/9000 miles and it is better today than it was when I bought it. It is still bone stock and will always remain so. My mileage is around 15 city and when I drove it to Vegas a month ago (empty, no load) I got 19mpg which is friggin awesome for such a large beast. It seemed to "wake up" (run stronger) after pulling my 12,000 lb (loaded with all gear, quads and fuel) to Glamis a few times. I LOVE this truck and have not had any problems at all.
Just picked up my 2006 this weekend from the dealer I needed a special package because of the load I carry all the time.
Took delivery Sat took it back for a spray on bedliner for Wed am. Dealer could not believe I already put 800 miles on it. Told him that was way less than I was planning to put on it but I was busy with office work for a day. Plan to tow an equipment trailer with @ 10,000 Lbs the week after this. The break in schedule says 500 miles before you tow, I'd like to do it at 1000 miles just to be safe.
My wife was so enamored with my truck she had to have a Ford too, so I got her a 2006 Explorer Limited at the same time. I think the salesman was a little shocked. Got a great deal on both and as this is my 3rd Ford truck got an additional $1000.00 for customer loyalty used the F250 as the second loyalty check for my wifes rig.
Love driving this thing already suprised at the milage as it took a while for my 04 to come around and I have already seen 20+ on the freeway at 75-80 mph. I have noticed around here that Diesel is lower than regular at some of the truck stops so no complaints there.
All my rigs had tons of miles on them in a short period of time and never had any major problems of any kind with them. Count me among the blue oval faithful
2006 F250 6.0 PSD 2wd CC Lariat White Camper Package 18" Wheels (all the options, no sun roof)
Coming up on a year since I got my '05 250 PSD. XLT, Crew, black, only modification is a Retrax cover. It's only use is hauling a 20' featherlite karting trailer around the eastern seaboard, and an occaisional horse trailer. Still, 9K miles in 11 mos. Works like a champ, I really enjoy it, no problems. I got a recall notice a few months back so when it goes in for service I think it is due for a re-flash.
Just got back from Branson, pulled my boat down with the '06. Boat w/trailer weighs just over 4000 lbs. Was able to get around 13 mpg, and that's with only 4k miles on the truck. Couldn't be happier!
