After serious consideration of looking at other bikes I still kept gowing back to the damn Harley dealer.
I bought myself the 2005 1200 Sportster Custom. Rode it out of there today but still have to go back next saturday to get my screaming eagle exaust & other options put on the bike.
Only have 14 miles on it now & sitting here wondering why I'm typing this message when I should be out riding.
Looks like my old Yamaha will be going up for sale. I just won't need it anymore. No sence in keeping it because I know that I probally won't ride it again unless something seriously goes wrong with the Sportster.
Congrats ride safe and enjoy. i finally found me a gal that says she will ride behind me, so i'll just have to get a set of wheels eventually. got pics??
Just took pics but I'm not at that digital stage yet. I'll have to have them developed then transformed into digital. I think wal-mart still can do that.
My Yamaha must be jelous. I just fired it up so I can move it to clean it up to sell.
The damn thing started, died, then flooded itself out. I'll get er running again. Just have to promise not to sell her & she'll start. Don't tell my Yamaha that I'm going to lie to her though.
OK for now I will let it go you ride a Harley. ....I ride a rice rocket, so ....
My belly is to big for a rice rocket otherwise I would have considered them also. Wait.....
Harley has a rice rocket also. It is called the V-Rod.
I got the pictures now, they are linked below.
I don't think the pics look good in digital, but here they are.
The last time I trust wal-mart to transfer pics for me. I guess I better look into buying a digital camera now.
I went and bought some misc. nuts & bolts tonight so I can put parts back on my Yamaha before I attempt to sell it.
When I came out of Lowe's, there were 3 men standing around my bike. My first thought was "great, wrong gender to attract" but we had a good 30 minute conversation before I could get out of there.
best of luck man. you have joined our throng of old timers and a long term ride.
makes me sick thou. i have had to sell both of my hd's and my doc said no more rideing 2 wheels your spine can't take the shock any more with out surgery.
gone are my 1961 stock looking pan head full dresser and my very hot running 1340 cc sportie.
You are not a good salesman saying all that stuff about it!

P.S. I had to edit your masking of a word. Sorry.
I'm not good with sales so I usually sell cheap just to get things gone quicker. I'll be putting it on eBay later tonight & it is already sitting by the road with a for sale sign on it.
Editing my post? You really are Focusing on your job aren't you?
