Was wondering if the mount of the F450 will fit on the F250-350 trucks? I like the lower mount better, plus the lower mount would allow room for a nice LED light bar above it.
Your truck looks killer, do you have a part number? Also what lights did you go with? Thanks for taking your time to respond.
Steve
Thanks Steve! Much appreciated. It mounts very simply via clips. If you look at your front valance, there should be two small slots dead center where the top of the plastic meets the bottom of the bumper. The new bracket uses these slots and then clips over the lip of the bumper. Part number is HC3Z-17A385-BC. The light bar I used is a Strobes n More TruDual 2.0 bar, which is a flood bar that has dual color modules in the outboard positions so as to allow the bar to be steady white flood or flash those outboard modules in an color (amber for me). Quality is good.
Does it mount the same way? This might be a good solution for the OEM Winch crowd.?
Do you think that the top of the plate would clear the fairlead? When I picked up my Tremor last month, my dealer said Ford was providing a 'fold-away' bracket if you got the winch, where the plate will fold down and slide under the bumper, similar to the aftermarket fold-away brackets that are available for sports cars. As of last week, the dealer has my new plates, but they still haven't received this bracket from Ford, and I've never seen any mention of any such bracket anywhere else....
In the original post, the top photo of the 250-350 is of the current 2021 generation, and the bottom photo (with the lowered license plate mount) is of the previous 2017-2020 generation.
Likewise, NorEasterMA's red truck, with the lowered license plate mount, is of the previous 2017-2020 generation, as is the part number he provided.
For anyone looking at Ford part options to hold the front license plate on a 2021 front bumper, it might be a good idea to consider whether or not previous generation parts will fit, prior to ordering.

Odd, that truck in the first photo is indeed a late (oct build)2020 STX (my truck) so now I'm confused. Are you saying that F450 part number will not fit my 2020??
I'm saying that Ford changed the bumper design for the 2020 model year. I may have earlier said that Ford changed the bumper design in 2021, but you'll have to ignore my Alzheimer's, just as I do.
And what I'm saying is that the second photo posted in the original post is of a different generation Super Duty than the 2020 and up. Therefore, that burgundy F-450 cannot be a "2020" model year as described, because it has a 2017-2019 grille and bumper design. And the bright red F-350 with the cool strobe lights and snow plow mount is also a 2017-2019 front bumper and grille design.
On the other hand, the first photo in the original post is of Ford's latest and greatest grille and bumper design, from 2020 forward, such as the silver truck in the first photo (I previously said from 2021 forward, but I was heavily drinking this morning, and am sober now).
The dead give away on the part number is the first letter "H", which indicates a design release for the burgundy F-450 and the bright red F-350.
A part number beginning with a first letter of "L" would be what I would be trust to fit a 2020 and newer truck with the redesigned front bumper and grille.
This isn't to say that an earlier part for the earlier design wouldn't fit. It is simply to suggest, as I earlier stated, that you might want to verify that an older part fits a newer truck before ordering the older part.
I got my new plates for my '21 Tremor the other day, and was told that there was a different 'lower' bracket because of the winch. The service dept installed it, but they mentioned they had to loosen the winch (maybe just the fairlead?) to get it on, but I don't know if it it's actually held on by any of the winch components or just clips onto the bumper. Sorry, didn't get a part # before they installed it, but there's another thread going on saying the winch will be available in the next week or so for non-Tremors, so I'm assuming the bracket will be as well.

Going to have to replace those ugly screws...
It doesn't get much more "built in" than that. Clean....................
Here's throwing a wrench...my 2019 OEM license bracket is higher like the OP's 2020+ displayed, not low like the 2017-19s in the thread. Personally, I think it looks better high. I do think NorEaster's looks good because of his light bar and I also get it has to be lower with the new winch option.
Sure does. Have one on my truck, with an LED Bar. Looks great. Attachment 270758
Heh "NorEaster" where do your plow plugs come out, on top of the bumper ? Do you like the amber lights better than clear for the aux fogs. Are those strobes left and right of headlights ? My plate is higher and I hide my plow plugs behind, never really thought of lowering plate, it does create more real estate lower.
