Aw yes it is slotted! Thanks. I have the RTV sealant coming from Diesel O Rings. Should be here today! But now I have to order the orings to re install the fuel filter assy.
Tugly! I was wondering why you posted the Dremel Tool. It finally dawned on me at lunch time! I have the Harbor Freight version of that unit. You used it to work thru the silicone sealant! Great idea! I was going to use a box knife to get them off.

It does two jobs when doing the billet plenums... one is to decapitate the bolt with a low ceiling. I goofed by not having that with me on the plenum job (out of town), but I had it for the differential job.
Dremel, wireless inspection camera, and Mity-Vac have saved me much grief.
Just wondering why someone would want to reseal instead of going billet with O rings? Just curious I have not done either yet, but resealing never entered my mind once I saw those billet plenums. Just waiting on some time to do a bunch of stuff at once under the hood.
I C . Was just wondering if there was some reason not to other than money.
All in due time right?
Yes in due time. Like when I need new Injectors and upgrade to stage 1. there is a lot of stuff you have to remove to get this done. It would be different if I had another vehicle as a DD. I'm borrowing a Ranger from my Dad at the moment. I will have to post a pic it is a Nice unit! I call it the Barney Mobile.
sounds like you have a plan. I am planning on dropping a lot of cash this year on mine. Sometimes I wonder if it would be cheaper just to buy a new truck, but after seeing that new platinum superduty I would be looking at $65k so I think I can put a few thousand in this one and wait another year or two for that.
Good Luck
That is the whole thing! There would be No way I could afford a new truck! You could completely rebuild these trucks twice and still come out ahead. Also you would not be dealing with any of the emissions or DEF things.
I looked at a brand new 6.7 with the exact same features and power I now have on Stinky: $45K. I don't have DEF, DPF, or the ride quality... but I'm betting Stinky will last far more miles than a new one, and he didn't cost as much.
