Racer30( he is my Brother) got me a kit from typefour worked sweet... don't over look small bit of hose on van return line drivers side frame rail mine was leaking..part of my air intrusion problem. thanks ..
I will be replacing my return lines this weekend, there shouldn't be a problem with pressure washing the engine before I do should there? It looks like it has leaked for quite a while and it is covered in oil.
I just finished mine up, it is a Dipaco kit from Accurate Diesel.
Everything went as expected, broke most of the old caps getting them off.
I have one leaking cap, I will pull it in the morning, I also found what appears to be a loose GP. When the engine was running and there was fuel in the bowl the GP sits in it was bubbling pretty well. I will sinch that down in the morning as well.
this morning I found that actually have 2 leaks.
The 1st seems to be a malformed o-ring.
The other looks like the cap may have had some debris in it, looked like a small shaving of plastic, but the o-rings look and it is snapping in place pretty well.
I got a dipaco kit from accurate diesel on ebay as well. Followed the directions I found on here, had one initial leak, pulled it and reseated it and everything was great. 4 months later I started smelling diesel and found I had a pretty nasty leak again. I pulled the components one at a time. First o-rings, which didn't fix it, then new hose and new clamps which didn't fix it, and finally replaced the new cap with one of the old ones I saved and it ended up being the new cap had failed already.
Now it seems like one or two of them may also be starting to leak so I may just suck it up and buy caps from the dealer because it doesn't seem worth the hassle to save a few bucks on an aftermarket kit that is going to fail after 4 months of light use
i like the kits made by Delphi.the early and the late kits both found on amazon.can also pickup a bunch of vition #111 there at same time.
Delphi did great.they use Goodyear SAE 30R7.the stuff i ran from/to my tanks to replace all the old rusty metal line before i put my truck on the road.that's real fuel hose, not that stuff that leaks in a week or a month latter. http://www.goodyearep.com/productsdetail.aspx?id=10526
according to my records (found in my virtual garage-click on the truck under my username and scroll waaaaaaaaay down) installed @ 68k miles.kit went issue/leak free until recently i installed another one with a set of fresh Stanadyne G codes @ 95k miles.
(at which i forgot to include i used the same kit again in my records there w/ injectors.oops.)

And The cloth braided hoose from germany is the good stuff, other kits hose isnt and it will fail in short order.
The best hose is the parker barrier hose which I can supply but would like to see more interest in it before investing in a roll which to get a decent price is hundreds of feet.
Also the small size fits the early cap awesome and the next size fits the lates a bit loose but doesnt cause any problems with the PROPER clamps
And I do sell just vitons if wanted.
I know this is an old post but I wanted to point something out. The viton o-ring size above is incorrect, if you order the "111" size you will get 2 about 6" wide. I believe the correct size of the viton 75A is 011.
I'm sure it's just a typo, but wanted to save some ppl a lil hassle.
