I DO believe he asked about the 6.0 not selling well... or ,,, (pick which one annoys you the most,.,.,.)
YES, they are not selling well... in fact, they sold a whole helluva lot of Dodges and Chevy/GMC's, this I know for a fact. When your truck is your office, and you live out of it and use it 18 hrs +/- a day, you have to have something dependable, not something that can't sit and idle in the cold for an hour if it has to. I know at LEAST 6 different friends/businesses (probably more than 40+ trucks at least) who were Ford ALL THE WAY, everything, but when you can't make it a week without one trip to the dealer, that is money lost, period. And yes this was with numerous 6.0's from MO to KS to TX to CA. They now all run Dodges, or the 7.3's that they still have, most farmers don't mod the crap out of their trucks, they buy it as a tool to do their job, if it can't do that out of the box, then it IS a defective tool, and can't be used for the job. Do I know guys that have hundreds of thousands of miles on their 6.0's? Sure, some have modded the crap out of them and still no issues, but they did earn the rep they have, not from just web hype. I have had a few 7.3's, not one have I had to do anything other than a couple of trannies, a few p/s pumps, a water pump or fuel drains and at least 2 or 3 CPS, but none of these required a long dealer/shop stay. And any time it is there,, it is money lost. So long story short, IMHO a 6.0 will not sell as quick as a 7.3,,, and as stated in my first post, not a whole lot of anything is selling right now, due to the election coming and folks waitin to see what goes where and when! To the OP,,, hope ya keep it, they are good trucks, and the problems are known if they have them, and can be fixed, and the bottom line... it IS a FORD and a damn good lookin truck!
That was beautiful sir, couldn't have said it better my self. Im a diesel tech (class c, only 5 years in the industry, but enough) I see so many of the damn things and wouldn't touch that boat anchor of an engine with a 10' pole, I'll stick with my 2009 ranger instead!
agreed, friends don't let friends buy 6.blows, it would be truly unethical push the 6.0 as reliable, my 2001 V10 outlasted 5 stock (untuned - is that a word?) 6.0s, and honestly, the only diesel that makes the hunting trips is my cousins 99 7.3, it is still going like my V10.

So explain my previous 6.0 300k and tuned, piped, and beat. Worked fine. Sold it for 11k to a dealer.

Can we please keep it civil? No real reason to be disparaging each other or someone else's truck. We all chose the truck we did for our own reasons, and we can't apply our reasons to someone else's situation.
uninformed? actually i am more informed then you as i do not own a 6.blow
bottom line is ford never fought over who is going to pay for warranty repairs before the 6 oh no! as a matter of fact, the 6.0 ruined the relationship
like my cousin put it (a 6.0 owner), the 6.0 is like a hooker as your girlfriend, you want to believe she is good, but at the end of the day, she is still a hooker
another quote from him "if someone ask him if they should buy a 6.0, he would tell them to run"
my other cousin traded his 6.0 for a tundra, and when he bought the truck, he told me that he would never by anything but a diesel, unfortunately, he made that statement way too early in his relationship with the 6.0
heck, my cousin with an 06 is trying to get ford to buy his back, ford offered him $2K and he keeps the truck, he does not want the and now has a lawyer
another one traded his 2004 for a V10, this guy was a die hard diesel fan until he met the 6.0
cousin with 2005 6.0 had to use his V6 super cap f150 company truck instead of his 2005 CC LB Lariat 4x4, when i asked him why, he reluctantly said, he did not want to break down
i have alot more but want to eat my lunch, your up.
