The red on the end is Red ELC mix with the loctite it dissolved. They had just started to push past and it was only on 3 of the 8 cups. But when we pulled them almost all turned in the head and didn't have any loctite left on them.
One thing I haven't seen covered by this thread or I just plain missed; should you run a system flush chemical through these to remove any build up, maybe something like Prestone Super Flush or some thing similar?

Nope, it's not necessary.
I know the 6.0 guys do when they have fuel contamination in their coolant, but if you're just changing over to a heavy duty ELC, then nah, it's not needed.
Ok, one more thing and I hope this is a done project for me. Went through the whole process and now I'm down to getting this thing refilled. Is been three days now and I'm still 2 1/2 gallons short of the 8 gallons in the system. Is this truck going to take that long to bleed out or have I done some thing wrong? Is there anything to do other than just drive it and wait? Thanks in advance for the help.
