When we launched the "Vendor Specials, Discounts and Product Announcements" we put in a set of rules:

<li>This forum section is for FTE Advertisers to post specials, discounts, sales, new product announcements and group purchases.</li><li>Advertisers are limited to one post every 7 days.</li><li>No discussion in this section. If you have questions please contact the vendor directly.</li><li>Keep all discussion about shipping, customer support, returns, etc. off the FTE forums. Deal with the vendor directly.</li>

This type of thread is precisely what we wanted to avoid. We don't want FTE's forums to be a vendors show-room, order process center, order status center, group purchase tracking system, MAP compliance, etc.
