I'm tired!
I did not sleep well during the storm.
It was PTSD effects as a result of the storm reminding me of Katrina.

Now I'm doing some towing.
13 hour day yesterday.
I spent a large part of today repairing the gates to the impound yard between tows.
The wind had worked them till the center sliding post that is suppose to keep them still broke.
As they were chained together the movement resulted in the posts being drawn together at the tops.
I winched them back upright and then installed guy wires to hold them in place.
The posts are 8" steel pipe with 8' high /10' wide steel gates on each one.
They were shaken by the wind so hard that the bottom hinge on one was lifted 4" and out of its' hinge pocket.

One note;
A tow truck driver in a town 50 miles from me lost his life Wednesday night.
He had gone out to retrieve a disabled truck but decided that it need to wait till morning.
On his way home an Oak tree was blown down and it landed on his truck crushing the cab.
He died there.
He was 52.

I wish to thank all who have expressed concern for me and my family.
The calls and PMs have been great moral boosts.

The above was written shortly after I arrived home this evening.

I was getting ready to post it when the phone rang with the Gulfport PD requesting a tow truck to do an Impound.
That was at 6:59pm.
I was returning home at 8:20 and the phone rang again.
This time it was my favorite service writer.
Her son had broken down while on his way home from college.
Well it was a 160 mile round trip to fetch him home.

Now I''ll hit the submit button and call it a day.
