1. Why in the world would a Ford "nut" put a chevy intended part on a Ford in the first darn place?
and 2. Why would he put on 1.5 ratio rockers when Ford already uses...

It's a 2 piece. I'd lay money on it. The E0 (1980) block has a 2 piece rear main seal. Even if they engine came out of an 85' or something odd that wouldn't change the fact of which casting the block...

Yes I am using both bolts and they are good and tight. I also only used about half as much dialectric grease last time to try and make the connection a little better.
