As a starting point, you should do a compression test.
While you are under the hood, put a timing light on it and see if the timing changes when you rev it up bit.

Starting with the 4 wire plug...
The Fat wire is the feed for the coil positive, both run and start, but this is downstream of the resistor wire so you might need to use this to trigger a relay....

Do you still have a Stock coil with the normal resistance values?
High energy coils have lower primary resistance which causes higher current flow, which could be why the ignition module failed.

The oil pressure and water temp wires do not go to the computer. They both go through a 4 wire connector on the drivers inner fender.
