yeah and the 2 valve navigator motors are also the same and are more powerfull than the trucks. as long as it an L coded motor it will work. thats what the local ford dealer told me. i just did this...

i would think that as long as you use the pcm and all the hookups off the 2003 it could, but they did change a little bit between 99 and 03... tread lightly and compare as wel as you can

find a rear end assembly from a off road or an fx4.. just do the swap. i have the bigger rear with 3.73 and a ls.. worth it to me if u have a good parts truck.

i like them. some people have tread ware issues, but for the most part proper inflation cures it.. like 35-40 max psi for everyday use. i bought 6 ply cuz i dont haul anything, just drive to work.

i dont think its useful on a factory pavement pounder. mine is a tank with the LS in the rear, although my truck spins all 4 in the snow.. maybe all trucks do that..idk.
