Yep! Large slot eaten away by the timing chain.
I was told that the timing chains were a dry system so I was not looking for an oil leak coming from there.
Most likely gonna replace the timing...

and left the air tube off so I

I have not been able to work on it since my last post.
I am going to put on a new harmonic balancer and seal this weekend.
Thanks for all replyís and suggestions I will update this when I finish

I think what happened is,
I didnít remove the woodruff key on the crank before installing the seal and it probably damaged the...

Massive oil leak

Truck has been leaking oil for a while now thought it was front crank seal. Just replaced the seal everything went well but it still leaks maybe even more than before.
Please feel free to offer any...

The frame widths are the same. Take the perches from the 78 and put them in the 73 this is your easiest option. Since Ford offered the 460 in 73 you might have the right hole already in the frame....
