Do not trash the old brake hoses till you remove the adaptor on each one. If the drums are smooth, I would not do anything but clean them and bust the glaze with sandpaper. Request the replacement...

It has been a long time since I was into a Y block. Something tells me we have to loosen the thru the pan fitting to get alignment. I do not remember having to remove the pump.
