No problems driving in city traffic..just have to shift same as w/ any manual automobile. Never looked for, but suspect h/d clutch is available. Right now I have really not needed anything heavy...

Sounds to me like a bad switch. If the dash lights go off AND the radio goes full bright, then your truck thinks you don't have your lights turned on.

Haynes book does not show location of stereo amp. But, I know it was mounted on firewall directly behind stereo in my old Explorer. Check there. If it IS there...good luck getting to it!
