The beds are pretty flexible. I don't think it adds squat.. As far as 4 wheeling without it I'm sure you will be fine except for the fact that there is no weight back there thus no traction at all...

At that price the MM might be good to go.

If I remember correctly it didn't cost that much. Mm radiators work good for diesels. Not needed for the gas engines.

When I replaced mine I got oem. Mine was a two core. The new one was a 4 core. That was all that you could get.
