My plan is to pull whatever pan(s) I need to pull to get to the valve body and pistons. Clean and rebuild the valve body and clean and put new seals on the pistons.

I could get a trans from a junk...

Do you have the stock 1 bbl carb? As AB said, it is 7V. If you have an aftermarket carb, it will probably be 12V.

The factory choke wire comes from the alternator. I don't recall which terminal.
