I Said Goodbye to my F250 4WD - Lots of Pics

After almost 5 years and 100,000 miles, I traded in my 2009 F250. I loved that truck. I custom ordered it in January of 2009 and took delivery in late Feb. It was an awesome and kind of rare truck. I...

I put right at 50,000 miles on a set of Goodyear Wrangler MT/R Kevlar on my F250. LT285/75/18E I'd argue those were the best tires I have ever run. When I replaced them, I went with the Nitto Trail...

I would not fear driving on the front axle at all.

The only "quirks" I think you might experience would be a slight bump in the steering wheel whenever you have the wheels turned all the way in a...

The 5" block has worked fine for me: towing, mudding, and general use off-road. It does cause massive axle wrap in the sand, in my experience.

I don't know if it was due to the face I was running...

I have the Icon adjustable track bar on my 2009 F250 with a 2.5" lift. I think I paid about $275 for it, but that was about three years ago. My axle was shifted off-center about 1" to the driver side...

Bingo.
My truck is right at 7' tall with this setup. It provides excellent ground clearance under the frame, and keeps the truck at about the maximum livable heigth.

Again, I'll echo what the OP...

Good call on the 5" rear block.
It was the route I went with my truck when I did the 2.5" Icon.

Our trucks are very similar, save I have stock 18" wheels and 35" Nittos. Your mileage is better...

A 2005+ Super Duty with a 2"-3" lift on 35x12.5 mud terrain tires is a very capable off-road rig. Let's establish that right off the bat. As long as you can physically squeeze between obstacles on...

I didn't see any pics in this thread of the 4wd and how the E-Locker works. I, too was curious. My dad recently got a 2012 F250 XLT. It has the manual 4wd and E-Locker.

Notice in this pic, you can...

I've dogged on my 5.4L for about 60,000 miles now. Around 50,000 of those miles have been running 35" tires. I can say that the 5.4L, the ZF6, and the Super Duty chassis have never missed a beat. Not...

I've put about 1,200 miles on the Trail Grapplers so far, so I can't make any kind of statement about how they wear. Like Quad Racer said, mine kept the nipples on the tread for almost 1000 miles.
