Also, if you do find that it's a blown fusible link, don't be tempted to replace it with a regular piece of wire. That would be a major mistake.
Fusible links are sized by their gauge, not amps like...

Use a long thin punch to drive out the wedge 2B487. The spring 2B486 will come out with it.

If it has factory A/C and not a dealer installed or aftermarket A/C, then it does not have a high output heater. Factory A/C was only available with standard heat.

AKA a "Frankentruck". There's nothing really wrong with that so long as it's safe and dependable and the VIN numbers check out. Quite a few people (either knowingly or unknowingly) have one of these.
