Just a follow up to "close the loop"... $1400 later it's fixed. Transmission shop says a snap ring broke allowing a wave washer and the torque converter to move. That was an expensive snap ring.

Yeah, mine squeak like crazy too, but I think mine is the shackles. I've been spraying them with dry lube every six months or so and it goes away until I have to spray the shackles again.
