I believe all 3 trans are np 435. My parts truck is a 73-75
Valve cover sticker says 390 but never know

Hey all.
So I have a 73 4x4 halfton. Currently has a blown 300 motor with a 4 spd manual.
Friend found me a 2wd 1 ton truck with a great 390 and a 4 spd manual
Does anyone know if there is a way...

not to putdown the idea of buying a Ford... is expensive but most lifted halftons need regearing with larger rubber. I do got a weakspot for wagon style Dodges so I still vote for look into how much...

That would be a sweet truck too! I am hoping for 375-400hp. 5"lift on 37" rubbers is the plan. Gotta go a little taller for the same result being a crew cab longbox
