That was a nice writeup! Looks like you've done some really nice work to that truck. Great stuff. :)

That 1 piece gasket sure is the way to go! I'll never put in a 4 piece cork gasket again.

From what I'm seeing online, Victor Reinz are some pretty high quality gaskets. But, the Felpro is trusted and works great, so why pay the $20 extra? That's an expensive gasket!

It does. The rings are the reason the newer oil pans don't have the raised edges on them. I think they're a type of compression ring.

Oh, speaking of which, as such, be sure to use the torque...

I've never heard of the brand but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

The metal rings are what you have to grind off the lips on the oil pan gasket to make room for.
By snap ups are you meaning...

I've done the oil pan gasket on both my 300s. They're not fun, but they're not hard. It's just a really dirty, and time consuming, job. Have fun!

That's pretty much all there is to it.

Once you have the oil pan off, take a grinder and grind all the raised lips/edges around the bolt holes down until they're flush and smooth....
