Aghh.. do me a favor! Keep the 5.4 2V the 5.4 3v engine is NOT DESIGNED to last a long time there is a reason Ford no longer makes the engine - it is a POS!

Smart move getting it diagnosed by the dealer... is it still under warranty? Unfortunately I think the 5.4 3v engine is a POS :-arrgh and wish you the best of luck in resolving your issue.

Dorman Cam phasers might cost you $120 a piece.. Though Tousley Ford has the best price for OEM Phasers @ $178 a piece.

Listen - drain your oil and make sure that your engine hasn't gone south...
