Used a grinder with a flap wheel to blast off all the road grime and some scale rust. Underneath it all is a frame that's actually quite solid, for the most of it.

I have a friend who ripped up the carpet in his '86 Bronco and had it Rhino-Lined. Looks AWESOME... and will probably outlast the rest of the truck!

FWIW, the fabric paint hold up OK, but not GREAT...

FWIW, the fabric paint hold up OK, but not GREAT in high-use. For door panel carpet, and seat backs, it does well.
