If you want a gentler, more comfortable ride, especially for the street, then yes, it will probably give you a better ride. It is not as stiff as the F250 spring, so it will not be as good for towing...

I've ordered 1.5 inch blocks, which should lower me about 2 inches. This will hopefully result in my Ex's rear end being only a half inch higher than before swapping...

I doubt the ranch hand, even with a winch, is anywhere near as heavy as a snowplow.

You may want to consider using W code front springs. I did on my Ex and they're perfect for a heavier bumper...
