thanks guys. 3-5K isnt too bad, I was expecting around 7-10K. I hear that a good wet sand can make it look like new but I'm afraid to attempt it.

I know sometimes you can hear the HVAC winding down but this noise is alot louder, almost like a boiling water sound.

I think I may go with a supercharger. Sounds like a better idea. Though it sure would be cool to have a diesel in it.

on a more friendly note... Yes, check all your vacuum lines running along the side of your battery. They become old and crack alot causing all kinds of a/c issues and 4WD issues.
