You probably need the wiring harness and ECM that went to the 4.2 engine, and a few other things....maybe engine mounts?? ...

Explain better what "rethreaded" is please. There are different brands of product out there that can do this repair. Unfortunately some of those brands are not adequate for this/ your situation....

All new spark plugs could not hurt anything. BUT ...to zero in on weather it is the same cylinder or a different one, you should scan for codes again and see what pops up

Did you check the PCV elbow on the passenger side way back on the firewall. This goes to the rear of the intake manifold. Best to check all the vacuum lines. The p0171 and p0174 indicate a vacuum...
