Looks like aftermarket overload springs. Might be factory but I guess I don't know if Ford offered them or not. Simple to take off if you don't like them. Or leave them on and haul whatever you want....

Nice score. Is it just me or do those two shifters look different than stock? The trans shifter looks like a couple extra bends and the t-case is really tall? Just asking.

I wont speak for Casper but in my case it was caused by the axle joint hitting/rubbing on the inside of the ball. I think you can see similar rubbing marks on the axle joint of Caspers.

Did those pins snap off the upper and lower spindle caps? Very odd. And I have seen welding like that before. My f250 4x4 has a similar repair. My f250 also has similar damage inside the knuckle...

Yea...it shows a cover on every model iirc. The picture Stu posted shows the cover. The original Colemans had the "dome" and the Howe Colemans as well. I assume your Coleman has the big bolt on face...
