Rear axel bearings

How can you tell if your rear bearings are bad? When I spin my wheels by hand I can here a clicking noise, is this ok.

Rear axel bearings

Might be bearings but could be differential too. Usually if a bearing goes bad or an axle surface gets rough, the axle seal will leak. One of the first signs of an axle seal leak is your brakes grabbing on that side. Its not hard to pull the axles and check the roller bearing and the axle surface. I'm not sure what application yours is. On non-floating axles it is common for the axle surface to flake and cause seal leakage and is tough on the bearing too. There are repair bearings if you do have a rough axle surface. The repair unit is an integral unit with seal and bearing together in one peice. The unit installs and relocates the bearing and seal outward enough to run in a new area on the axle. This way you can salvage that expensive axle.
